COLLEGE PLACEMENT TEST DATE

There are two college placement tests, the ACT and SAT.   Ninety-five % of our students take the ACT regardless of the college they are going to.  The ACT tests measures what the student learned while the SAT is aptitude tests, colleges use both. For the Midwest and West the commonly preferred test is the ACT.

Your student can pick up the registration packets for the ACT or the SAT in the counseling office or you may go online and register, which is faster and preferred by both companies.

We encourage seniors to take either of these tests more than once—for scholarship consideration for Kansas Colleges, the December Test is the last one allowed to be used for scholarship consideration.

We encourage juniors to begin taking these tests the last part of the second semester of their junior year—allow them to gain as much knowledge as possible before taking tests; this is ample time for scholarships consideration in their senior year.
