Do you remember the 1950's?
A lot of people don't. Back in the 1950's, Hayden was a school filled with the light of the Lord. Emphasis was placed on God in every activity, whether it be in Hayden's Square Dance club, the Sodalists, or during classes.
During these days the poodle was the big hair style among the girls, students strived to participate actively within their school and with administrators, football wasn't quite as big a deal, but the Christmas parade floats were.
Hayden's many clubs included: The square dance club, the nurses club, sodality, pep club, commercial club, American Foreign council, Jr. Red Cross council, glee club, the float committee, the future secretary's club, etc. things that are seldom heard of in today's schools.
But activities weren't all that was different in the school then and now. Hayden was and will always be a school in progress. We progress to become better, keep up with the time and to be an active competitor in making each student's education as high as possible.
