Essentials of Mathematics is an essential course for students who need remedial work in basic math skills. The students are test using criterion-referenced tests to determine weaknesses in any outcome of basic math. An individual profile is developed for each student. Each student will concentrate on mastering these outcomes in basic math and then move on to pre-algebra skills. Each student will proceed at his/her own speed and work individually on personal outcomes. Cumulative tests will be given periodically to assure retention and mastery. This course does not met the Kansas Board of of Regents Qualified Admissions requirement.
