Hayden International Club

 

International Club is a group open to all students of foreign languages at Hayden.  Its main purpose is to increase awareness of the importance of studying a foreign language in today's global society by providing Hayden students with the opportunity to experience cultures and languages outside of the classroom setting.

 

 

These are the requirements for receiving credit for the International Club.

 

 

Paris and Madrid Trip

 

This year the International Club will be traveling to Paris and Madrid.  While there, they will visit important sites and learn about the culture.  Currently going on this trip are 14 students and 7 adults.

 

Deadlines and Important Dates for 2006 Trip

 

  • November 6     Parent Meeting at 6:30 in Library
  • December 8     Final Payment is due
  • December 31   Must have applied for passport
  • March 17         Departure

 

 

 

 

 

 

Past Trips

 

 

 

 

2005 Trip was to Italy on the Renaissance and Rome trip.  They saw Florence, Assisi, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri. They also attended the Papal Easter Mass on Easter Sunday.

 

 

 

 

 

2004 Trip was to England, Whales, and Ireland.  10 students and 1 faculty attended.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2003 Trip was to Madrid.  12 students and 2 faculty visited for 9 days.

 

 

 

 

2001 Trip was a 3 week exchange with Bari, Italy.  15 students and 2 faculty were hosted by Liceo Prezziossisimo Sangre.

2000 Trip was also to Bari, Italy, with 24 students and 6 faculty members attending.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Future Possibilities

The International Club is considering trips to Greece, Northern Europe, the British Isles, and Mexico in the future.
